Wish List Wednesday #2

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for another Wish List Wednesday.

I absolutely love these handbags/satchels. Both from Anne Klein, they are a perfect color and will go with any outfit. (Bonus: They're on sale at Belk!)

I have been dying to try Julep nail polish and I found the perfect color! I have been looking for a mint green color for the longest time.
While reading a blog, I heard about the book, Southern Charm. It is apparently an easy read and great to have for a day at the beach or a car ride/airplane.

Maybooks from May Designs are truly spectacular. You have the ability to design your own agenda/notebook! You choose the interior and exterior designs, including what kind of pages you want, what design you want on the front, and how your name (or monogram) will be displayed!

What do you have on your wish list this week?

Have a great rest of your day!

I don't know about you, but I adore Kate Middleton. She makes style seem so easy and she is flawless. She has brought new modern ideas to the monarchy in England and she is being praised for it.

Kate and William are the perfect couple - when they came out of the hospital to present their little prince, they were both glowing and so elated; but even in the pictures we see of them at engagements and events, they are so joyful and ecstatic.

The thing I love most about Kate's style is that she wears clothing that "commoners" can go purchase. Of course, there are some events where she needs to wear custom made gowns, but she also wears things from Topshop, a more common store in London.

Happy couple a day after the birth of their son.

There is such normality about the two of them.

I love the first dress on the right page, by designer Alexander McQueen.
I adore the green dress on the bottom half of the page, which she wore for the 1st Battalion Irish Guards St. Patrick's Day Parade at Aldershot, Hampshire.

Kate just makes her looks look so... effortless. I admire her brilliance and style.

Who is someone that you admire?

Motivation Monday

Happy Monday!

It's a new week - so get yourself motivated to complete the tasks you have in store for yourself. Getting things done can leave you with an amazing feeling of accomplishment.

Quotes are an amazing thing because they can stick in your mind as you go through the week.

Weekend Away

I hope you all had lovely weekend. I spent a weekend away with my friend, Emily, at Lake Murray with her family. It was a great time of getting away from the hustle and bustle of life at home and having time with no internet (eek!).

The three days we spent there flew by, and it was very sad to see it go. We were able to go on a few boat rides, go inner tubing with Emily and her sister, go kayaking, swim in the lake and jump off the dock, go midnight fishing, and spend time just talking about various subjects.

The lake may of had a yucky color, but it had a delightful temperature.

Kayaking adventures

"Bye Bye Lake Murray!"

If you could spend your weekend in any way you wished, how would you spend it?

Blueberries (And Blackberries) for Sal

My mom has wanted to go out and pick blackberries and blueberries at a local farm for the longest time - and today we were finally able to go out to the Ambrose Family Farm and pick some berries with some family friends.

The blueberries and blackberries are at the end of their season, so it was difficult to find nice large berries, but we were able to get enough to make some jam... and some to cover with sugar and have a nice snack.

Rows and Rows of delicious and fresh veggies and fruits.

Row of blackberries

My hands were stained with purple and blue because of the blackberries! So delicious!

My blackberries! (Time to make some jam!)

There is something so rewarding about picking your own fruit and knowing exactly where it came from!

Have you ever gone and picked any fruits or vegetables?

Wish List Wednesday

I have seen two different blogs (A Pair of Chic Pearls and A Preppy State of Mind) do "Wish List Wednesday" and I loved the idea!

Hopefully I will be able to treat myself to a few of these few items in the future.

Here we go!

I have been wanting a Longchamp for the longest time. I love the 'Le Pliage' Shopping Bag Large because it can be used in many different ways; shopping, sleepovers with friends, or even for school when there aren't too many books to carry around.

After seeing some of the new arrivals at J. Crew on The College Prepster, I fell in love with this Chambray Shirtdress. It is perfect to pair with leggings and flats, and maybe tights and boots. Too hot outside? Just wear it with a cute pair of flats.

I absolutely adore this Monogrammed Quarter Zip Sweatshirt from a shop on Etsy. I love the idea of having a cute sweatshirt that adds that perfect amount of prep to an outfit.

I have really missed Dowton Abbey. It feels as though the season came and went! This book will help me get through the next five months without it.

What is the top item on your wish list?

The royal baby is born!

It's a prince!

Official Document announcing the birth of the child, displayed on an easel in front of Buckingham Palace.

I watched the live stream from NBC News right after I saw the many tweets announcing that the royal baby had been born.

We don't know the name yet, but it took William and Kate 8 days to name their dog... so who knows how long it will take to name the future King of England?

William, Kate, and their new child are expected to leave the hospital sometime tomorrow. I cannot wait to see their exit!

Picnic in the Park

Happy Sunday!

On my little sister's summer bucket list, she said she wanted to have a picnic at the park only a few minutes from our house.

We decided to make a family outing out of it.

Even though it started to pour, we were still able to have lots of fun - playing in the rain!

After Abby, Mom, and Nick left,  I was able to have some quiet time and read. It was nice to have time to myself with no distractions.

What is your favorite way to spend time alone?

Favorites: bareMinerals

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

I have listed a few of my favorite bareMinerals products, but I also added in one product that wasn't bareMinerals.

This roll on perfume has a gorgeous scent and is perfect if you want just a little bit of perfume without going overboard. When I went to buy this perfume, the company suggested getting more than one perfume and then to combine a few different scents to make one beautiful smell.

This "Stroke of Light" eye brightener immeadietly brightens the area around the eye, and conceals the imperfections for an even-toned look.

This powder eye brightener gives you a wide-awake look and diminishes dark circles.

The bareMinerals creamy concealer is truly a miracle worker. This blends to cover blemishes, dark under eye circles, and other skin imperfections - and it lasts all day long.

This eye and face brightener radiates and highlights your eyes and face.

Time for lips! I just recently bought this great lip color, and  I am in love! I got a more neutral tone calledd "Be Free". It glides on easily and leaves a clean satin finish.

This eye shadow is very neutral, so it's not too overboard with color. It doesn't smudge or run, and it stays on all day.

I love bareMineral's mascara. It is an amazing product. This mascara gives lashes instant volume and definition.

Email me if you would like any details on the listed products!

Anniversary Sale!

After reading a blog post this morning from my favorite blog, the College Prepster, I found out about Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale!

I could not contain myself. I love Nordstroms. They seem to have anything that you could ever imagine... all in one place. It took me almost a half an hour just to look at all of the items under $20 in their sale. It's truly insane. I didn't have anything set in my mind that I was specifically looking for, but while looking I found a few great things.

Ok, maybe more than just a few.

I love both of these Lilly Pulitzer Note Card Sets. I always want to write people little cards, but never seem to have cute cards at my fingertips. These note cards solve this problem.

I have always had trouble with eye liner; I can never seem to get it just right.
The description of both of these items online seems to tell me that they are easy to apply
and last all day.

I have been looking for a cute iPad mini case, and I think I found what  I was looking for.

This chain link bracelet is the perfect touch of arm candy without going overboard.

I never seem to be able to paint my nails without getting the nail polish on my skin. I have seen great reviews about this product and it is defiantly a need.

This product blew my mind, and it is pretty self explanatory. It locks and coats your mascara so that it lasts all day!

This "great things" list basically turned into a wish list of my wants and a few needs!

Happy Friday!

Shopping on King

Retail Therapy is always necessary.

While downtown, my mom decided to use the time to shop at no other place but Gap. It was great having some girl time with my mom - girls need this kind of time with their mom.

Gap, of course, was great! On our way back to the car, we passed Palm Avenue, a Lilly Pulitzer store. While passing, I looked in the window. The Lilly Pulitzer Agendas were sitting there, perfectly arranged and ready to be grabbed. I had to stop in!

It is my first year having one of her agendas, and I am already in love. The agendas are so well put together making it hard not to love.

It was hard to decide a pattern... All of them are so cute. I decided on the "True Navy Tusk in Sun". Both me and my mom were immediately drawn to it.

"True Navy Tusk in Sun"

Stickers! A must for agendas.

"Dates to Celebrate"
  List birthdays, anniversaries, etc. here!

"Reasons for a Party 2014"

Cute spreads for each month. (With quotes - it's great!)

Month view
I really like this feature - being able to plan my month out visually, where it all is right in front of me.

Day by day
This is also great because it allows you to break your month down into smaller portions.

Tabs for organization and for easy access to what you need.

17 month agenda - it will last a year and then some!

I'm in love. There's so much more from Lilly that I love, like the "Earbuds with Pouch" or the USB drives! And I love the Fru Fru Makeup bag. It's to die for.

Have you gotten your school agenda yet? What school supply keeps you most organized?

Love, Sydney
