When I Grow Up, I Want to Be ... : #blogtemberchallenge

I love thinking about my future, researching possible career paths or colleges, like many teenage girls love to do - and I love to talk about my future aspirations, and learn what others are passionate about and looking towards doing post-high school. I have friends who want to go into multiple career paths, whether it be a start on Broadway, working in occupational therapy, or becoming a Doctor and working in third-world countries in Africa; the ideas are endless. 

Today's Prompt :

... a student | It's really important to me to go to a 4 year college, and possibly go on to get my master's degree as well. I want to experience college, gain life resources, and major in something I know I'll love doing no matter what! I'm looking at colleges in the New England Area, or possibly my parent's alma mater, University of Wisconsin Madison. 

... a nurse or physician | With all this discussion about future career paths, I guess I need to share my aspirations! My goal is to go into the medical field - either becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), possibly an Anesthesiologist, a Physicians Assistant, or maybe even a doctor, possibly an OB/GYN. I've looked into each one a little, I just haven't decided how much time I really want to spend in school - at least I have 3 years until graduation day! 

... a wife and a mother | Definitely jumping way ahead in my life, but I want to find the one God's set out for me and spend my life as a wife and mother! I can't imagine my life post-college without a husband or kids. My mom and I were talking the other day and she said that she can't imagine a life without us 3 kids, and I can agree! It's all in God's plan. 

... a Disciple | I want to spread the good news of my faith to those around my area and around the world. There's no better task than to spread the amazing news that God's given us!

The Little Things : #blogtemberchallenge

Starting the week on a Tuesday makes a world of a difference - 4 day week, no Monday blues, and a 3 day weekend is always accepted in my book! I love getting that extra day to sleep in, get work done (whether it be blogging or homework!), and spending more time with family and friends.

With Labor Day passed, we've all seen our fair share of the "farewell to summer" pictures and our favorite bloggers wearing their white jeans and seersucker for the last time. Living in the south, lots of people abide by this rule ... but I'm choosing not too. (At least for a month or two!) I believe that seersucker can be put away, but the color white is all over my closet, especially when it comes to the tops section. It's going to be hot in Charleston for at least another month, and white is your saving grace when you're outside. It's such a crisp, clean color and can definitely be transitioned into the fall and winter seasons perfectly. What do you think?

Happy Labor Day! 
As I stated earlier today, September 1st marks the beginning of a fun month-long link-up with Bailey Jean from Brave Love Blog! Back in February, Bailey did a similar challenge but with different daily prompts, and I'm so excited to see what this month will bring!  As a "welcome to the challenge", today I'm the Author and I'm just sharing a little bit about myself for those new readers as well as all the amazing bloggers I'll be linking up with!

Hey y'all! My name is Sydney Huss and I'm from Charleston, SC! I'm currently a high school sophomore attending a fine arts "magnet" high school, which means that I get to spend 90 minutes every day doing what I love - singing! I love the color navy, anything caffeinated, friends, family, and most importantly, my faith and love for God. My family consists of my twin brother, younger sister who's in 1st grade, my creative mom and my pretty swaggy Dad.  I started blogging a little over a year ago after one of my friends started her own blog, as well as the fact that I was already reading quite a few blogs. One day in July I finally created my own corner of the internet and I'm so happy I did. It's been a joy meeting other ladies who blog and getting to know more about them. The blogging community is such an inspirational and fun one, and I don't know where I'd be without it! I just recently re-branded my blog from "A Thousand Tomorrows" to now, "Sydney Huss". I mainly blog about high school life, with some inspiration, style, and (of course!) lifestyle posts thrown in there too.  I have big dreams for the rest of my high school and college "career", and hope that this blog, as well as you, will stick around with me to experience these fun times in life! 
If this where to be on the book cover "flap" of my own published book, it would be a Christian realistic-fiction novel about a girl doing what she loves, and going off to college.
